Indian MedTech|Healthtech Innovation: Bagmo

Bagmo is a Kerala-based health-tech startup that has developed an innovative IoT, RFID, and cloud-based system to solve the critical problem of blood wastage and supply chain inefficiency. It digitizes the entire blood transfusion workflow, from the donor to the patient ("vein-to-vein" traceability).
The product is targeted at hospital blood banks, transfusion departments, and remote blood storage centers. By tagging each blood bag with an RFID and IoT sensor, Bagmo's platform monitors its temperature and location in real-time. The primary outcomes are a drastic reduction in the 20-30% of blood units wasted.

1/ KKR’s strategy to invest $10 Billion by 2026
KKR's deployed $2.5B since 2023 BUT why does it want to 10X it to $25B by 2030 esp. in🇮🇳Hospitals?
It all started with its 5X exit from Max Healthcare earning $1.132B in Aug'22. In 2018, KKR'd invested in Max Healthcare at a meagre ₹80/share & with in 4yrs, sold its stake at ₹353/share.
It was reported at the time to be KKR's largest exit from an Indian firm and a blockbuster deal for the Indian PE sector.
This triggered KKR to dedicate its war chest to not just Indian Hospitals but also to Pharma & MedTech sectors.
